  Handling the Pressure with DuraStack

Welcome to the first edition of our Commercial Newsletter in 2019!  Things got off to a fast start this year with the AHR show in Atlanta.  Seeing many of you at the show turned out to be more exciting than the Super Bowl played across the street a couple weeks later.  In 2019, we are continuing our push to become easier to do business with and to provide our reps with the tools that will help them win in the marketplace. At AHR we debuted our first set of videos designed to help with the installation of our products, as well as the latest version of our mobile app that now has significant product data and is being updated regularly.
 

The start of the new year also means the re-opening of our Commercial Stocking Program. First introduced last year, the program is designed to allow our representatives across North America the opportunity to put our products on their shelves at discounted prices with favorable payment terms to enable them to better serve their individual markets.  Please contact us if you need more details.

The focus of this newsletter is pressure stack product and the sales success we are experiencing in the generator market.  Two traditionally heavy generator markets, health care and data centers continue to see rapid growth in both the US and Canada.  Often, these projects are large and don’t experience the seasonality that the boiler business does when much of the business activity occurs during the second half of the year.

Finally, because of the success we shared in 2018, we need to grow our team and are actively looking to expand both our sales and design services teams.  If you are aware of anyone whose talents would be a strong fit, we’d be very interested in learning more.

Handling the Pressure with DuraStack
 
 
What’s the first word you think of when you hear DuraStack? We hope that word is versatility. From commercial chimneys, grease ducts, boilers and even commercial generators, our DuraStack product line is designed to offer the ultimate in installation convenience and versatility for a variety of applications. As prime examples of our consistent quest for more cost-effective, versatile and reliable product solutions, DuraStack has it all. Due to our several UL listings (UL103 & UL2561) the Pro Series duct is suitable for engine exhaust system (pressure & temperature) when installed in accordance with NFPA 37. Durability is another word that should come to mind when you hear DuraStack. With a maximum temperature 1400 °F, our systems are designed to withstand the force of unburned fuel igniting. The insulated double wall duct reduces the outer wall surface temperature and building heat by retaining higher temperatures within the duct itself, and the expansion joints are rated for the extreme temperatures DuraStack is subjected to. New DuraVent & Security Chimney Product Videos
 
Video is more engaging, more memorable, and allows viewers to better retain information when compared to simple text. In our effort to make our products easier to understand, install, and maintain, DuraVent has launched a new series of installation and product videos. These will provide our customers with the ability to observe and follow along with hands on demonstrations, insights, and best practices right from the job site or from the comfort of your living room. We cover topics such as a standard pipe assembly, inline access door removal, and anchor plate and tee cap assembly. Our first series is NOW live on the DuraVent YouTube channel and soon to be available within our mobile app. We hope these videos help in all of your passion projects. In the meantime, we’ll keep innovating, and you keep the HVAC passion alive!

Sustainability Initiative: Giving Back

DuraVent’s mission is to be leaders in our industry, providing innovative products with best in class service and support, cutting edge technology and a world class delivery system. Equally important is our mission to be leaders in our communities.  An important component of being a community leader is setting an example by "Giving Back."  Throughout 2018 the DuraVent family has supported a variety of worthy causes across locations, such as: 100 Club of Solano & Yolo Counties  and American Red Cross in Vacaville, American Cancer Society, Schoharie Limo crash victims support and Madison Square Boys and Girls Club in Albany, along with Movember Foundation and  Ace Hardware Foundation to name only a few. DuraVent has identified education and children as our "Giving Back" focus for 2019.  A terrific example of this focus in action is our recent donation to the Thomas Hearns Foundation which will aid in the rebuilding of one of Detroit's most impactful gyms for underprivileged youth, the Kronk Boxing Gym.  Stay tuned for full social media coverage as the gym is being built.
